True Love
I met an earth angel around the same time I first started to love myself
I had hit rock bottom my dreams were shattered I didn’t know if I had anything left
She was full of class, tall and elegant the black queen of a perfect dream
but this beautiful woman that made me fall in love was light years out of my league
I was robbed of sleep many nights my thoughts were captured with images of her
I knew she’d be a blessing if she gave me one chance all these years I thought I was cursed
She killed me softly four times a smile on her face with every rejection
I wanted to hold her I wanted her to trust me I wanted to protect her and give her affection
Although her full lips said no the gleam in her pretty brown eyes screamed yes
Because I love her now means I’ll her until my spirit departs with the angel of death
She motivates me to conquer the world so I can lay it at her feet
I pray that the angels guard her; God keeps her in his perfect will and supplies her every need
I think back to every woman I played and every bad relationship I had ever known
God forgive me for my immaturity I would rather be with her than be alone
I been through a lot I can take a lot but I can’t change what I feel
I’m allergic to fake life has made me tough and I’m drawn to what is real
Fall back or dive in? Me being a deep soul has me used to precarious positions
It’s better to be led then to be driven but to get closer to her is my mission
When I look at her I see all of her I pray that one day she sees me to
