Metamorphosis - Samuele Telari plays Bach's Goldberg Variationen BWV 988

“Metamorphosis” is a musical tale inspired by a unique compositional principle often used by Bach in which a starting motif, apparently meaningless, turns into a rational structure through the flow of variations. This is why we chose to start from the details of the inside of the accordion, which seems to start playing on its own, and then unveil Samuele Telari's hands, body, face and technical mastery through the musical path. The fragments of the Goldber Variations, which were selected together with Maestro Telari, aim to enhance the moments in which the polyphonic texture merges into harmonic crystals, and for each of them we have found a particular method of fusion through the use of primary colours that overlap and create new shades.
