The Boy who Made a Museum
In the North East of Brazil, an 11 years old boy decides to make a Museum to honour his fauvorite singer, Luiz Gonzaga, one of the greatest Brazilian Musicians. Pedro Lucas recognizes himself in Gonzaga`s old songs. The short documentary is a trip through the boy`s universe, which leads us to a part of Brazil, unknown by the World and by many Brazilians alike. It's about migration, prejudice and pride.

Special Prize
Based in London, Sérgio Utsch is a foreign correspondent for Brazilian TV network, SBT. He has been awarded with some of Brazil and Latin America's most respected journalism prizes, the Vladimir Herzog for his investigation into orphans and was finalist of the "Premio Esso" for his investigation of child exploitation in one of the poorest areas of Brazil.
He covered four wars ( Israel, Syria, Iraq and Ukraine ), the recent Syrian refugee crisis and the earthquake in Haiti. Throughout these special assignments he brings a special focus the plight of children and the issues they are faced with. "The Boy Who Made a Museum" is Sérgio's first documentary, and his first incursion a different form of narrative, giving the characters enough time to tell their own stories.
I've been covering many harsh and difficult stories. The Boy who Made a Museum gave me not only a good story, but a possibility to encounter with my country and showing its beauty to rest of the World. These are times of rising extremism and prejudice. Pedro Lucas' story is a way to show that there are people doing their best to make this World a better place.
