aNGˈzīədē (A Painted Self Portrait Stop Motion Short)
It’s a constant feeling of always being one step Infront of this towering storm ready to suck you up into its mouth crashing down all sides around you till you can’t breath. It’s this obsessive replay of thoughts that haunt you the more you resist, controlling your mind. It’s this feeling of needing to run out of your body because it feels as if it’s slowing being crushed from the inside out.
This short film is an expression of that.

Hi, my name is Jayden Becker, I am 19 and live in Ashland Oregon. I use photography and art as an outlet for emotion and thoughts. Art is like my language. I express what I feel, how I feel, and what I think through my art work. My words are the shapes, lines, and patterns of the images. It is a way of self-expression, a way to share with those around me, about my life, my feelings, my emotions, and my thoughts. My goal is for my artwork to stir something inside you, whether it is sadness, anger, happiness, joy, love, or all the above.
From a young age I created or expressed myself in some form of art. As a toddler, I would make a colorful mess out of the blueberries on my highchair, paint myself out of boredom when given a piece of paper to paint on. In school, I would doodle on every assignment or paper passed out to me. I remember my teachers telling me that I needed to stop doodling all over my homework because it was not for art, but that did not stop me. In middle school I got into a habit of drawing on my hands and arms. I would draw flowers, vines, faces, people, and words. Give me anything, and I will cover it in art! My dad has been my inspiration for all my art, and he inspired me to really get into photography about six years ago. That is when I got my first professional camera, which I use up until this fall. After playing around with photography I became interested in photoshop, so I decided to teach myself how to use it. Now, I combine painting, doodling, and photo editing into my art
