ANSEL FARAJ decided at the age of 6 to be a film director, and has spent the past 19 years working steadily towards that goal. Supported by his family and a talented repertoire company of actors, he has directed seven feature films and countless short subjects, operating on a budget of chewing gum, shoestring, and
sheer determination.

He is an award-winning independent American film director, screenwriter, and producer, known for such films as the revisionist DOCTOR MABUSE films starring "Dark Shadows" cast members Jerry Lacy, Kathryn Leigh Scott, Lara Parker, Christopher Pennock, and Linden Chiles (released theatrically in limited release in May 2013). In 2014 He wrote and directed a 6-part anthology web series THEATRE FANTASTIQUE, featuring Christopher Pennock, Sally Kirkland, Lisa Blake Richards, Jerry Lacy, and Lara Parker - which is available to stream on YouTube,
with a Season 2 debuting online September 2017, and coming to DVD from Alpha Video.
In 2015 he released the short film WHATEVER HAPPENED TO DETECTIVE ADAM SERA? a comic book themed short, which was followed by four additional 'Detective Adam Sera' installments; and his feature film, the Lovecraft Noir THE LAST CASE OF AUGUST T HARRISON starring Jerry Lacy and Nathan Wilson
began making the rounds at film festivals across the country.
In October 2017, his "haunted house" epic THE NIGHT-TIME WINDS will be released to DVD from Alpha Video. He is currently in production on a non-genre project, WILL & LIZ, a contemporary love story told in four seasons.
