Director Biography - Tirrell Coleman

Tirrell Vernon Coleman, is an indie-filmmaker award winner, and born on September 16, 1985, in Washington, DC. He was raised by his biological parents Willie Coleman, his father whom served in the Marine Corp, and later in the Army Reserves and did two tours of active duty in Afghanistan and Iraq. While his mother Stephanie Coleman, worked in the field of childhood development. Due to being raised in a military family, Tirrell moved constantly throughout his early childhood throughout the United States, living in places such as North Carolina, and Honolulu, Hawaii; he and his family even got the chance to meet Ms. Hawaii of 1989.

In his early life, Tirrell was deeply intrigued in art, video games, movies, and eventually music. Reading comic books and watching his favorite films, Tirrell developed a knack for writing stories and sketching original characters, he even taught himself how to sing, play the keyboard, and guitar, and written many original songs. In 2004, he traditionally graduated from The Jim Henson School of Arts Northwestern High School, located in Hyattsville, Maryland. Afterwards he studied at the Art Institute of Washington and majored in Media Arts and Animation. During his time at Northwestern High school, Tirrell met various friends Matthew Thurmon, and Patricia Renderos, that shared his vision of film-making, and still share that vision today.

The first short film that he wrote, produced, directed, edited, and even composed the score and original music was "A Book By It's Cover (2016) (Short)". So far he's won 2 awards from IMDB's Global Shorts (Directors Special Mention Award), and Clifton Film Celebration (Do The Thing Award).

Director Statement

Just as my previous film Split!; The Fall is a film based on visuals, and an experience of Brandon A. Cueto-Yenty's, acting and concept writing potential. However, the film as a whole acts as a synonymous metaphor.
