INSPIRATION: Another one of my scripts, Claus v Hollywood, won a contest whose grand prize was a free day of filming in a Hollywood sound stage. The intent was to film Claus there, but that script is too big to do in one day -- too many locations, characters, reindeer.

My co-writer and I didn't want to lose the free day, so we brainstormed ideas for a new script with limited locations and characters (and no reindeer). Nothing clicked. Until the premise for BRIEF popped into my my head while on vacation. What triggered it? No idea. But I'm glad something did.
