Grown up in Valais, Switzerland

After studying literature at the University of Lausanne, Dominique Fumeaux turned towards the profession of cameraman and cinematographer. Self worker since 2010,
he has filmed, edited and produced numerous audiovisual works, corporate movies, advertisements or projects related to the television. Then he moved more towards the world of cinema, in which, over shootings, he deepens his knowledge of cinematography. In 2015, he improves in the direction of photography by following the courses of the ECTQ, school of
Quebec cinema. As director of photography, he favors the construction of low-key lighting and dark and fantastic universes.

The same types of atmospheres inhabit the projects on which he works as
director. Alongside his image profession, he directs and writes. He worked on many clips for music groups. In 2016, his short film "Consumation" won several awards at international festivals. In 2019, he was selected as an emerging director for the event Face to Face, organized by Fonction Cinéma. In 2021, the canton of Valais, in partnership with the Association Valais Films, gave him a grant to develop his short film project "Tu ne tueras point maman". In recent years, he has resolutely focused on the work of writing and directing fiction.

He also expresses his creativity in the fields of photography and music. His works flourish in a dark aestheticism, enriched by his desire to instil ecological and libertarian touches, linked to its deep values.
