Best Technical Production
Luis Abe Jim has wanted to be a movie actor and director since he was 9. He started acting at age 10 and started directing at age 17. His most notable works include the short films "The Eyes" and "Not Ready"; the latter won Best Picture at the JC Films Festival. It also garnered him the Best Director award. His latest project, "Soon Enough" won Best Technical Production at the Scare My Shorts Off Short Film Horror Festival.
Luis is currently a freshman student at the University of Montevallo pursuing a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Theatre. He has had camera operating experience with Legacy Productions, Bella's Productions, and Mera Film Studios.
In December 2012, he participated in a talent show doing a comedy routine. The following month, Legacy Productions approached him saying he had something in him that could be used in film. From here, he expanded in the technical side of film.
Luis plans on pursuing his goal of making a living out of acting and directing in film when he finishes college.
