Sixty Nine Club
Now only a small handful of members, the Sixty Nine Club is Europe’s oldest social group for gay leathermen, founded in 1965 when homosexuality was illegal in Britain. Today the club’s last surviving older men show us why the Sixty Nine Club means so much to them through home movies and tales of debauchery, love and friendship.

Rob Eagle is a director/producer of documentary films, audio documentaries and non-fiction virtual reality. His photos and films have appeared across international media, including the New York Times, the Guardian, Al Jazeera and the BBC. This is a 21-min distilled version of what will be a 60-min documentary with a broader scope of the history of leather and the Sixty Nine Club. Many shots and scenes in this version will not be in the longer, so they will be essentially two different films.
