Director Statement

A surreal-experimental project which presents the human being as a snail. The decision of choosing a simple creature, out of any important proofs that there is life and passion in the world around us. The snail is a complex structure, capable to love and to think about his own existence, as any other being. The film is divided in three parts using black layers, which it represents the story of the snail in diffrent periods of life. He is born, he goes into the world, travelling through spaces trying find out his purpose. The contact with the strange object overwhelms the snail, making him contemplate until he is aware of his own existence. The creature becomes a fully human, capable to love. He is in a dream that provokes euphoria and reconciliation. But as much as this film revolves around love, it actually speaks about loneliness. The snail ends up being alone, as any other human being. I think the important aspects of the film are sincerity and emotion. I don't think it is more than that.
