Lemon Mignon
A young girl called Anna is sitting on the bed crying and looking for something in a small medical kit. A cigarette is hanging out of her mouth. The ashes of the end of it are long and drooped.
Her make up is messed. Her actions are intense and stressful.
She wants to kill herself.
She is in the kitchen, pulls out the drawer nervously, grabs a knife, then another one, then throws them back.
She tensely thinking on something. All of a sudden, an idea rushes into her mind.
In the middle of her room she’s standing on a chair, holding an extension cord, shakily tries to hang herself up when she sees something through the window.
An old lady is sitting on the neighbour’s balcony. She’s peaceful and joyful.
Anna is disturbed by the old lady’s presence but she is relentless. Ties a loop on the extension cord. It is around her neck when she hears a sound.
The old lady is back, sitting at a little round table and munching a lemon mignon. There’s an old battery radio on the table. She’s listening to her favourite song.
Anna is shocked. The old lady’s presence and the music distracts her again, but she’s determined to do something horrible. The cable tightens around her throat.
Meanwhile the old lady on the balcony enjoys the music. She finishes the mignon then walks inside.
There’s an old black and white wedding photo on the nightstand. She lifts it up and kisses her late husband’s face. She turns around and there’s a rope hanging down from the ceiling. Underneath it there’s an old stool.
She steps up on it. but then someone knocks on her door.
