Asia Dubarenka is a young volunteer director at The MidPeninsula Media Center. After graduating from the Studio Class in January 2017, she took on the challenge of directing the first show ever - Yoga for Health and Joy, working on behalf of her classmate Patricia Becker, producer of the show. Since January 2017 Asia directed 10 episodes of Yoga for Health and Joy as well as 4 episodes of The Killen Report, and being a substitution director for single episodes of Law Talk, West Coast Songwriters, Game, Artist Expression and Timeless Tales, all produced at the MidPen Media Center.
It is always a joy to direct Patricia’s shows! She, as a host, producer and yoga teacher, fills the room with irresistible positive energy! I feel that everyone on the crew including camera operators in the studio and us, control room people, are just following along. Process of directing Yoga for Health and Joy turns into a meditation, where every crew member keeps the same rhythm voluntarily - I often feel, that we are all synchronized in our thoughts and actions because Patricia’s calm joyful voice and smooth movement drives us all to the same peaceful place, where we all just can be happy co-creating atmosphere of relaxation and healing.
