GOODBYE (A TRUE STORY)

The day before her definitive departure from Rome, Laura meets her lover in a house along the railway. They decided to celebrate their brief relationship by filming their last sex. An exploration of post-porn, the new artistic frontier of erotic cinema, created as a documentary that keeps its focus on the protagonists’ faces.

Director Biography - Ezio Maisto

His main works as a director are the feature documentary IRRESPONSIBLE CHILDREN (2020) and the short MORE THAN THIS (2014), both premiered at the Giffoni Film Festival, one of the most known cinema festivals for children in the world. Other works: the short GREATER EXPECTATIONS (2012), awarded 8 times, including at its international premiere at San Marino F.F. and in competition in Scotland, Canada, Australia, Ukraine and many others; THE CURRYBONARA (2010), a no budget short screened in 38 different festivals, awarded 16 times and screened by RAI, the Italian public TV. He also directed GOODBYE, A TRUE STORY (2017), an experimental erotic short documentary premiered in Rome and screened in USA and Spain. As a screenwriter, he wrote the web series BEHIND THE STONES (thriller) and several episodes of the TV series DISTRETTO DI POLIZIA, broadcasted on Canale5, the second most popular Italian TV channel. Former marketing manager for a publishing company, he is a journalist and an event organizer as well.
