G.M. Hilleard is an filmmaker/artist/photographer; born in south London much of his work derives from nostalgia for his disappearing city. He graduated from the London College of Printing in 1998 and had previously studied photography and exhibition design. His most recent art exhibition in 2015 combined photography and graphics in the form of postcards to juxtapose the language of developers with the actuality of the city and is featured on the 'Guardian' newspaper website.
This short film is of a true event that happened to me as a child in the early 1970's on my way home from school.
It was shot entirely on location with the help of family and friends and so must have one of the lowest production budgets ever!
