Writer Biography - Tina Field Howe

Tina has several feature scripts and a TV show in development with Literary Manager/Producer Andi Frazin. Tina’s show Axis Prime is based on her award-winning Tellings of Xunar-kun novel series. MindStrike, a sci-fi feature script, is in development with BPolin Productions. Her biopic Beyond All Odds is about the tumultuous young life of 1960s Roller Derby star Cindy McCoy.

Tina has won numerous awards for her scripts, novels and audio books, the most prestigious being The 2016 Writers Lab Women Over 40 competition which is sponsored by IRIS and NYWIFT and funded by Meryl Streep and Oprah Winfrey. Her recent short film Country Club Confession is garnering awards. Tina has a Master Certificate in Screenwriting from ScreenwritingU.

Tina’s strengths are strong female characters, world building, imagination, and the ability to work well with producers and writers. Tina lives in Upstate NY where she often speaks to students about careers in writing. She is also creative coach to fellow writers and artists.

Writer Statement

My original stories are structured to captivate the audience with authentic characters, female protagonists with gravity, and visceral scenes. I create engaging situations that the audience identifies with in a meaningful way, the result being an emotional and moving experience as the story drives the protagonist to be her better self.
