I ENJOY BEING A GIRL
Woodstock, NY, 1988. Following the death of her father, Jo, a 13-year old girl, coming into puberty and queer identity, and her mother, Laura, pin their hopes for recovery on the success of Jo's Bat Mitzvah. But, tensions flare around the big event, as mother and daughter must contend with the past and with one another - each navigating awkward transitions to womanhood.

Justine WilliamsBrooklyn
Justine Williams is an actor-creator, filmmaker and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. She teaches at the Yale School of Drama, and makes original works for theater, film/video and installation. Her film work as a writer, director and/or actor has premiered at MOMA's New Directors/New Films, Rotterdam International Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, Slamdance and others. She was a 2015-2016 fellow in performance with Queer/Arts/Mentorship, and is currently a script to preproduction workshop fellow through NY Women in Film and Television.
