Director Statement

Abeeku and the maroons has been an idea I have had for a long time. It is an amazing feeling to see this story come to life. I originally thought of it as a comic but after being exposed to animation it made perfect sense that this was the media to pursue.

It was difficult to find good animators in my country at the time this was written. After several false starts I decided to learn animation and dedicate myself to this project.
