Director Biography - Heather Hawthorn Doyle

Heather Hawthorn Doyle has made a name for herself as being a strong story-based director who takes pride in bringing her passion to every team she works with.

In 2021 Heather's episode of CBC/Hulu series "Endlings - Unwelcome Home" will be released, it's her third TV series with the Toronto based award winning production house Sinking Ship Entertainment, having previously directed episodes of "Odd Squad" and "Dino Dana". Prior to that HHD directed a series of shorts in Vancouver for the multiplatform division of the Disney Channel based on their new hit series "Gabby Duran & the Unsittables". Heather also recently finished her sixth MOW, the third since BC resumed production during COVID. Heather has also directed short form narrative films including the heartbreaking original film "Songbird" which won the 2020 People's Choice Award for favourite short at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival.

Heather is also a very experienced director in factual/lifestyle/documentary and multi-camera talk/variety shows having directed on many popular formats for HGTV, W Network and CTV including more than 300 episodes of the multi-camera daily talk/variety show "The Vicki Gabereau Show". HHD's first narrative series was the multi-camera teen sitcom from Thunderbird Entertainment "Some Assembly Required" for YTV.
