Kaitlyn has been making her own independent films on YouTube since she was 12 years old (2012). Her ambition for achieving a successful career and name within filmmaking, has been her priority since she ever started doing film as a YouTube hobby. Not only does she make her own Films and Art Tutorials, she also films music festivals and concerts - such as, the O2 - Madness Concert, Detling Showground, Clapham Common, Dartford Ska Festival featuring The Christians.
Kaitlyn's Filming ambitions became so focused on her YouTube channel, that she started focusing on tragic Terrorists Attacks by producing musical tributes. After receiving such high success from Terror Attack tributes, she made a brave attempt to taking the Bridge Over Troubled Water charity song for Grenfell Tower, into her own hands and released it onto YouTube 4 days before Simon Cowell released the song. Kaitlyn's "Bridge Over Troubled Water | Grenfell Tower Tribute" received up to 300,000 views within 4 days. This created a massive jump in her subscribers on her YouTube channel and made her name more recognisable.
Kaitlyn also has a high talent in Art (pencil - drawing - portraits, painting and charcoal) and has been drawing ever since she was 6 years old. Her creative imagination has influenced her into so many different directions throughout her childhood. This is such as, Screenwriting, Editing, Filming, Producing, Script Writing, Story writing, Masquerade Masks Making (Hand crafting), and has sold many of her own drawings and painting through a famous artist known as Stephen Oliver from Dartford Orchard Shopping Centre.
Kaitlyn now studies three A-Levels in Film Studies (at Welling School), Media Studies and Art (at Erith School). Her motivation and triumph has led her to studying pressuring A-Levels at two different School Establishments, especially in 3 of the most difficult A-Level subjects to pass at.
She has recently found huge success in her independent film series, "Killing Her Softly" of which she had to make for a Film Studies project. The film was written by Kaitlyn and was primarily focused on the situation of domestic violence. This is because Kaitlyn started her life off in a refuge when she was a 3 week year old baby, as her Mother had experienced horrific domestic abuse from Kaitlyn's Father, so this was close to Kaitlyn's heart.
Kaitlyn stuck the film project on her YouTube channel as she thought, "Why not?". The film unexpectedly, received 4,465 views of which Kaitlyn really didn't expect. Her subscribers reacted wildly to the film and begged for a sequel - so because of the shocking success the film got, Kaitlyn decided to put together a sequel, "Killing Her Kindly". (Which is the film that is being submitted to you.) Kaitlyn is now putting forward the 3rd and final adaptation to the Killing Her Softly series which has recently been titled, "Killing Her Bravely."
Kaitlyn's most successful films: "The Growing Of Erith", "Killing Her Softly", "Killing Her Kindly", "Bridge Over Troubled Water | Grenfell Tower Tribute".
I really hope that this film I have submitted to you is good enough to be screened and reviewed. It would mean everything to me if this film could be considered by you to be screened. I'm honoured to let it be submitted to such a great Film Festival community.
Thank you,
