Experiencing Interruptions?

Mama

Life can change in a blink of an eye, a thin line separates heaven from hell.

You may never know when you have to leave your safe zone until you get the hit and everything used to be there, is gone in next minute. Now, it is your time to keep breathing until you feel alive again.

This is the story of a Syrian refugee girl, who crossed that thin line and everything in her life changed suddenly.

Director Biography - Eduardo Vieitez

I am an experienced and awarded Spanish commercials director based in London, UK.

I studied Audiovisual communication at Complutense University of Madrid, fine arts at Arts School of Madrid and photography. Loving design and painting, I started directing music videos when I was 20 while I was developing my passion for design as postproduction art director and exploring my passion for painting making a few exhibitions on my homeland.

Soon I had the chance of making my first commercial and I decided to jump into the industry and after 15 years of experience I’m currently working for biggest brands, creative agencies and production companies on international campaigns all along the world. I have already worked as a director for clients as BMW, NIKE, COKE, SAMSUNG, DUREX, MTV, McDONALD’S, HEINEKEN, GREENPEACE, MOVISTAR, ORANGE, BRAUN, DUREX, etc.

When shooting I also had the chance of spending a lot of time in many different countries as USA, UK, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, China, Turkey, etc. A priceless lifetime experience that helped to open my mind living so many different cultures, something to which I will always be grateful.

Now it’s time for me to keep fulfilling my artistic concerns and, harnessing all these experiences, take the next step, my desired goal: a feature film.

Director Statement

It’s time to get ourselves in the shoes of a Syrian refugee and turn our eyes towards them. To reach that goal we wanted to tell a real story, with no ornaments, no fantastic turns, no wonderful dialogues or any other narrative trick. Just a raw and real story to let the viewer feel in the first person what a refugee experiment from a regular happy life to the bloodiest hell in the hearth. Just like it actually happens many times every day.
