Director Biography - Jurg Slabbert

Jurg Slabbert is a South African journalist, who recently shifted his focus to documentary film. In 2015, he was awarded a Chevening Scholarship, but he enrolled in the DOCnomads joint master’s degree in documentary film directing instead, after he was awarded an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. He’s passionate about storytelling; whether it’s from the summit of Kilimanjaro, or Africa's winding streets.
