Room To Grow

ROOM TO GROW, the Revry Original film, chronicles the lives and stories of seven LGBTQ+ teens and families in cities across the country, offering an up-close and intimate glimpse into their daily lives as they endeavor to find an identity that fits and a place in their communities. Kids grow up fast, and it's amazing how much these teenagers changed over the 12 months of filming. Room to Grow highlights just how important it is for LGBTQ+ teenagers to receive the support they need at home, at school, at church, and in the world to reach their full potential.

Director Biography - Matt Alber, Jon Garcia

Jon Garcia is a Portland-based Emmy nominated filmmaker, writer, director, documen-
tarian and founder of Lake Productions which specializes in production and post-produc-
tion of commercial, documentary, and fiction based films. He has written and directed six

feature films, 4 of which have been distributed by Breaking Glass Pictures and has re-
leased two self-produced solo albums as a singer/songwriter.

Matt Alber is a two-time Grammy® Award-winning Portland-based singer/song-
writer, filmmaker & youth worker. Notable career appearances include the presti-
gious American Songbook Series at New York’s Lincoln Center, Musical Diplomat

of the US State Department to Hungary, Kosovo & Russia, and guest clinician in
Sudan, Africa at the Media Training Institute for Youth.
