“Centar Svita” (Center of the World)

Is an experimental documentary that portrays the everyday life of three women during the period when the Croatian government is on the edge of collapsing for the third time in one year.

They have come, left, and stayed on the Croatian soil together with their partners, while the political situation revolves around them only in the form of information that they get through the television or internet. The film is focused on the simplicity of their daily routine that goes on, and even when it seems to be affected by politics it remains untouched.

Director Biography - Andrea Boljat

After finished Secondary school of Applied Arts and Design as a Graphic designer in 2010, Andrea has enrolled at the University of Kinesiology where she studied and worked as a professional athlete coach. During her education, she worked in multiple football clubs in Champion and European league, but soon she noticed that her love is still art. In 2013 she moved from Croatia to Belgium in order to study film directing at KASK. Since then she obtained the Master of Audio Visual Arts diploma, with a specialization in Film. She has produced and directed multiple short films in the documentary, fiction, and experimental field.
