Director Biography - Anthony Brzeski

I started as pilot and I remember that I always dreamt to take my camera out there and take the best shots and show them to the entire world. But back then you were either a pilot or a photographer, so I ended up following the technology. Years later came the technology which brought my passions together and today I fly wonderful cameras.

Director Statement

Mont Saint-Michel is an UNESCO World Heritage as no other in the world.

You see it and you are stunned! So desolated, so imponent, so many shapes. There is nothing like that in the world. I prepared for this shooting for months: authorisations, exchange of experiences, scenarios, angles, scripts. everything was planned well ahead. I was ready to go do the spotting the day before the shooting, film the next day and then leave.

But the day I got to the Mount to film, I was just blown away.
Mont Saint-Michel is a MONUMENT!

In the end I’ve been onsite with my crew for over a week to learn about every simple spot of this marvious place, decide on the best angles, studying the light, the water, the tide, the seagulls!!!, the people.

When I decided that we are ready, we've got only 1 day window to film because of the weather.

This is how the idea of the movie appeared: One day in Mont Saint-Michel’s life: from sunrise to sunset.
