THE IDES OF CHILDHOOD
The five individuals, finding their way in their homeland, which has witnessed war since before their birth. Each has a unique story, opinion and dream. From being a footballer, to a pilot, a doctor to a teacher, each person in Kashmir is trying to hold on to their dreams with the hope that tomorrow will be a better day. The Ides of Childhood, is a story of tragedy, courage and hope of a land that cannot be called one's own and it's people trying to struggle for identity and hope for a better life and a significant reminder that let history not repeat itself.

Samar Salam is an Indian film director and cinematographer. In 2017, he made his directorial debut with the film, The Ides of Childhood. The film was World Premiered in the USA and won an award for Best Feature at the Ridgefield Independent Film Festival. Born in Calcutta on December 24, 1991, he had his early education in St. Xavier's Collegiate School, Calcutta followed by majoring in Communication and Videography at St. Xavier's College. After receiving his bachelor's degree, he moved to Prague, Czech Republic for higher studies where he also worked on the post-production of The Ides of Childhood (2017)
