Evan was raised with a divorced family in LA. He started acting an early age and loved the art of storytelling. At 13, he won the Guinness World Record for the most consecutive 720 kickflips in one minute at the ESPN X Games 13.
He started filming and editing his skateboarding videos in 2007 and became a sponsored skateboarder. In high school, he ended up falling in love with his digital filmmaking class, taking 2 years of classes.
Evan moved to Sonoma County in 2012 to get his degree in Digital Filmmaking and is a freelance videographer/editor, who is growing as an indie filmmaker now, back at home in Los Angeles.
Making this film in under 48 hours was an incredible experience, unlike any other. We worked with an amazing writer, Paul, who was in the Netherlands and we talked through FaceTime to get the script done overnight.
He put together a beautiful story that blended sci-fi and romance, and we put together an amazing cast and crew to bring this magnificent story to life.
In 48 hours we made one of the best shorts out of 138 in LA and won the Audience Award.
I feel like we took a feature film concept and condensed it into a 7 minute film (not including credits). We have a powerful story that brings out emotions, and creates empathy in the audience. It astounds me how we were able to put something so short and powerful together, it's reminiscent of Twilight Zone and Black Mirror.
