‘SELF – CONFIDENCE CAN CRAFT YOUR FUTURE’

K.Janarthanan age 25. It was 4th March 2000 in the millennium year. Jana started playing with his friends. Suddenly fate had brawled at him in the form of an Iron rod seven feet in length that fascinated him. He took the rod and rotating it came into contact with a HT Electrical line. The electric shock waves ran through the boy’s body. The boy was given treatment at Govt Stanley Hospital. The burnt organs were removed from his body and they were amputated his right hand till his shoulders left hand till the elbow. They also amputated his left leg till the knee and removed the toes from his right leg. Doctor advised the young Jana to write with the help of his mouth and study further. After 6 months he was admitted at K.K.Nagar Rehabilitation Center to have artificial limb for walk with Grit and Determination. Jana started practicing to walk and to practice writing during late night by his mouth. The spatiality of Jana he writes draws and paints by his mouth. He is the India’s youngest mouth painter. He has won more Hundred’s of Award’s in mouth painting including the Prestigious National Award Best Creative Child Award at 2004 and Bal Shree Award at 2005 from the hands of former President Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam.
Event after event led Jana to success. In study’s he wrote the Board examination Xth with his mouth so much ease and confidence. He has since participated in several competitions at state and national levels. The most recent one being from Music Director A.R.Rahman. But two National Award’s he received in 2004 The Bal Shree Award and the Best creative Child Award..Mr.Kalam sir hold a special place in his heart “ It was a Priceless moment. You should be a role model for the others” Mr.Kalam sir told me, “I am still living by his words.
Janarthanan did a course in multimedia followed by a visual effects course from Loyola college in 2010. He joined a media channel and worked there for three years as a Graphic Designer.
Now he is 25 he works as a freelance Film Editor and hopes to learn more about Film Direction. “I have directed three short films and edited about 20 short films I’m working on pre-production of my Short Film.” I also want to start an organization for people like me” who are interest in art and painting.
You have to find something that you love you’re really fortunate if you something to pursue. Janarthanan is an award winning Mouth Painting Artist and Graphic Designer who has beaten tragedy and loss with astounding grace. He now wants to make films and start an organization for others with disability
