I have little to no filmmaking experience. I was simply inspired by my dear friend Chiekh Darou Seck of MyHero to believe that I can produce a short documentary of the inspirational work of the Taaru Askan Farm in West Africa.
It was my passion for showcasing the work of our team and volunteers at the amazing Taaru Askan Farm and our participation in the organic movement being created in Senegal that inspired me to direct this short video. I hope the energy of the movement and the dedication of our team comes across in this documentary. When you follow your heart (your destiny) doors open and the most amazing people come into your life. Taaru Askan is a Wolof expression from the local African dialect that means to beautify and make better one's environment and community ~ that is our goal and we hope we have been able to inspire the young people and local community who have been apart of the Taaru Askan family to make a difference in the world.
