Carolfrances is a screenwriter, activist, and retired teacher. Besides Mother Earth Speaks, she has directed Within the City Limitless, a finalist in the four-minute film contest, "What's your L.A.?" and America Will Be, a dramatization of Langston Hughes's poem "Let America Be America Again" - with Jennifer H. Caldwell among the diverse cast of ten. She is the founder of Breakthrough! an organization dedicated to supporting narrative filmmaking with a social conscience. (BreakthroughIndies.org). She believes filmmaking can bring us together and empower us as a people, nationally and globally. She says, “I’m an activist because I love my life and I fervently believe that all living beings have the right to love theirs.”
