Jaron Latona graduated from California State University Sacramento. His films focus on outdoor experiences, especially topics of outdoor education, conservation, equitable access, and history. He lives with his wife in Sacramento, California.
We stand at a crossroads in time: the Earth is warming, we are entering what scientists are calling "the sixth mass extinction," bitter and often violent division is rampant, and the next generation spends more and more time indoors staring at screens. Using increasingly relevant media - video, music, photography, and social networking - my hope is to create digital content to inspire people of every age, ethnicity, gender and background to go outside, to connect with creation and each other, in order to engender the necessary empathy to save the world.
