Hrishikavi (The Ascetic Poet)
Hrishikavi is a documentary that I made in the year 2016. This is about the great poet Nalapat Narayana Menon, who is also a writer,philosopher, thinker and a translator. This documentary is all about his life and his contributions to the literature as well as to the society. The intention of this documentary is to explore the wide range of knowledge accured by him and how it is influenced the great writers, of his period and after. purpose of this documentary is to establish his all contributions to the society for creating an awareness about his greatness which is neglected by the authorities as well as society. Duration of this work is .....We took 1 year to complete the documentary. It include interviews of Malayalam writer.

Saritha Asokan Nalapat was hailing from a renowned family in Kerala named Nalapat. She done her degree in B.A funtional english and an extra add on course in Media,editing,and reporting. She done her Post graduation in M.A diploma in virtual communication and creative media. Also done Multimedia and animation course from trissur.After her post graduation she done a couple of documentaries on themes extremely relevant that fetched laurels as well as critical acclaim.Her short film named " Oru Paryavasanam", that discusses the problems afflicting the C class theatres in Kerala, which are on the verge of a decline has won the prestigious Padma raja Puraskaram (second class) constituted by Kerala State Youth Welfare Board in 2014. She was conferred the Best Documentarian award and the Best Documentary Award constituted by Digital Film Makers Forum Trust, Trissur Municipal Corporation in 2013 for her documentary "Mount nombaram" featuring the life of Pullvan ( name of a group of people in Kerala) throwing light on one of the rich cultural traditions of Kerala. Hailing from the family of Nalapat Narayana Menon and exposed to his life and works, this directorial venture is indeed a tribute to the great writer and philosopher of Kerala
