Super Bowl Recovery

The Super Bowl plays a significant part in my life, but perhaps not for the reasons one would think. After years of struggling with depression and an eating disorder, I landed myself in treatment on February 5th of 2007 on the weekend and in the city of that year's Super Bowl contenders, Chicago.

This year's Super Bowl marked 10 years of me being in recovery and embracing the fullness of all life has to offer.

This is a tiny re-telling of that story and the long journey ahead of learning to love myself, the life I was given and the little victories along the way.

Life is good and hard and incredibly worth it.
