Experiencing Interruptions?

Scene 15 : A good beginning is half the battle

A foreign student filmmaker living in Korea has to direct his graduation film. Instead of shooting the whole story, he chooses to concentrate on the central scene of his project in order to get fundings to produce the whole thing.
Adding documentary footage from the pre-production, casting, rehearsal and shooting stages, he decides to build a suspense from the filmmaking itself and to echo his own life with the topic of the scene he has chosen to focus on.
As the scene is a dialogue between a father and a daughter, the main task of the director is to find a young actress and an elderly actor that would match.

Director Statement

This first cut of the film is a project I have produced by myself, as it is my graduation project at Dongguk University last Spring. On June 21st was the deadline to present a scene in 4K that I had finished shooting on June 10th. I have the plan to return to the editing room from September, to choose from better footage and to make the best cut possible, then I might reshoot one or two documentary scenes depending on the project develops.
I also plan to ask a musician to write an original score, then I will contact a sound person for mixing and ADR for some of the documentary scenes. Then some other special effect staff will be asked to rework on the credits. Color correction will then come to polish the final product. Then a lot of work will be needed to subtitle the documentary footage.

The whole project is not in 4K. None of the ''documentary scenes'' is. Only the FICTION Scene 15 itself is. But in the final product this Scene 15 will definitely be over 10min, probably lasting close to 15min.
