Maternal Instinct (Concept Trailer)

A native Californian, Teresa Nash has been singing since childhood and dancing since college, where she earned a BA Degree in Theatre, Dance and Music. She performed in a modern-jazz dance company and as lead vocalist in bands in the San Francisco Bay Area before her path lead her to an extended stay in Japan. Based in Tokyo, she toured Japan, singing and recording with her own Pop/R&B band as well as performing with various Jazz groups.
Her journey continued across the globe again, settling in New York, taking on the incredible role of motherhood and taking an extended hiatus from performing. Ever-evolving, she began studying acting, and training in Mixed Martial Arts, earning a 1st degree black belt in a self defense system which combines Karate, Krav Maga, Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Grappling. Her ongoing training in screen fighting at NYC Action Actors Academy includes hand to hand combat, firearms, katana sword and Escrima. She continues to train in Wing Chun, Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing.
Teresa answered another calling in the Healing Arts and became a second degree Reiki Practitioner and a Licensed Massage Therapist. She is an advocate of holistic health and alternative modalities. She has performed in musical revues and regional theatre, one of her favorite roles being Anita in the classic West Side Story. She has also been enjoying diverse leading roles in Off-Broadway musicals and independent films. She’s a freelance vocalist in NYC area venues, and a Certified Community Producer at Manhattan Neighborhood Network, creating television programming.
Maternal Instinct is Teresa’s first screenplay. She stars with her two daughters in the short film, which is currently in production. Teresa finds balance in her "Triple Arts"; Performing Arts, Martial Arts, and Healing Arts.
