Director Biography - Alaaeddine Jlassi, Bahaaeddine Jlassi

Jlassi Alaaeddine and Bahaaeddine are two Tunisian filmmakers twins born August 10, 1989 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) .They usually work together as they follow the same path in their studies in the field of cinema. In 2010, they started their first training Audiovisual and Cinema at the Institute of Multimedia Arts Manouba, they got their license in 2013 and Script Editing after part and mount the film school (IN بث تجريبي) . During these years, precisely in 2011 they also had their end of degree studies in Italian language which lasted 4 years in the Bourguiba Institute of modern languages. In 2013-2014 they have the experience to carry out several independent shorts films and awareness Spots As Schizophrenia, Betting and Male / Battery etc ... and they participated in filming and working as assemblers freelance in several local television channels. In 2014 the two brothers decided to continue their studies in higher school audiovisual and cinema Gammarth choosing the writing and directing as specialty until 2016 the year of obtaining their professional Master after co-direct the film Crash إصطدام graduation

Director Statement

Forgiveness is a noble gesture that reflects the delicacy of the person, an inner force that springs involuntarily in the form of deeds or words. We always need to forgive or be forgiven in order to continue living. The human being is never free from error and his social nature makes forgiveness and the only recourse to be able to live in peace
With oneself and with the entourage. The value of forgiveness is measured by the counterpart of the wrongful act or evil caused, the more serious the fault, the more forgiveness requires more strength, generosity and nobility, even sacrifices. What invites us to wonder: How far can we go in search of forgiveness? Since forgiveness is the main theme of the film, it was implicitly evoked and presented as a wish born in a second . But that it is impossible to realize by the protagonist character Mohamed after having discovered the reality. We chose the second as a support in our film since the accident which is the trigger in the story happens in a temporal and unexpected fraction. In the intro of the film a succession of information expresses the value of the second and its importance in human life and eventually plunges us into events. Mohamed, a man full of life, serious but also ambitious, finds himself obliged to save the life of an innocent woman instead of joining his friend leaving on a journey. Like any human being, Mohamed can confront the error due to the fact that he is in a hurry because of the delay and his inattention, he wanted to save time, while fate chose a second to upset a life and stop a other. In this film a challenge will intensify and the bar of forgiveness will rise higher and higher proportionally from the triggering or rather disruptive fact. The search for forgiveness will transform the situation of tragedy into pure happiness. In other words, from a catastrophe to a beautiful dream, an illusion reflecting the strength and magic of that feeling. This illusion will be the only track that will free our protagonist, remove him from guilt and prevent him from being endless. This part will be dominant in the dramaturgy of the film since it has put our main character facing his victim in a new relationship that has developed.
