Sheridan Sinclair began writing & producing amateur productions at the tender age of 41 in 2013, including the fan-made web-series Hitman: Vengeance.
He left school & served in the Royal Navy for almost 8 years as a Sonar Operator & then worked in the Prison service for 10 years.
Sheridan also worked part time as a Psychotherapist for 13 years before deciding to rekindle a childhood dream; to pursue a career in film.
In 2014 he enrolled on Raindance’s Master’s Degree in Film, through life experience, rather than previous qualifications.
He chose to focus on developing his skills as a Director & The Terrible Old Man is the second film he Produced & Directed during the course with a trained Cinematographer.
His first film Para-Hysteria, which he also wrote, has also recently completed post-production.
He is currently story-boarding a script for a short film adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell Tale Heart, whilst also penning his first full length feature.
I was first introduced to H.P. Lovecraft in my teens with the Stuart Gordon films Re-animator (1985) & From Beyond (1986). I never imagined I would ever make an adaptation myself, but 30 years later I began work on my first venture into the Lovecraftian universe as part of a Master's Degree. It was an ambitious project with a very small budget, but thanks to great locations & a hard working team, we managed to achieve something close to my vision for the story.
On Friday 13th July 2018, I personally finished working on the original editors work to create the definitive director's cut.
