Director Biography - Josue Caceres

Josue is a writer, photographer, videographer, and creative from the Bronx, New York. At a very young age, Josue began writing poetry and short stories in school and in his free time. During middle and high school, he began doing photography and videography for his friends and family. He began to take poetry seriously at the age of 17, when he wrote the poem titled Insecurities. He got a very positive reception from friends, family, and strangers for this piece. He continued to write poetry and short stories in the following years. Between 2014 and 2015, he was awarded by the Borough of Manhattan Community College for his poems America and Freedom to Be. He was also published in the school's magazine, The Guild, for his poems America and Insecurities. At the beginning of 2016, he began working with the creative agency, GET Studios, providing photography and videography for shoots and events. He also became a content creator for GET. In late 2016, he began working with the brand, Bronx Native, as a writer and photographer. In November of 2016, he published his first book titled Out of Place. Caceres is now the Brand Manager at Bronx Native and he published his second book of poetry, Bronx Stories & Heartbreak.
