Ryan Mayers is an Emmy Award winning filmmaker based in Baltimore, MD. From television series to documentary feature films, his work has been seen around the world.
Growing up, I wasn't aware that you could make movies for a living. I simply enjoyed watching them, and eventually started making my own. However, the more I learned about the art of filmmaking, the more passionate I became, and that love for the moving image continues to inform everything that I do. I feel fortunate to have been able to produce, direct and edit for a career, and work with so many creative people who inspire me. My work has been seen on national television, on the big screen (theaters), and the little screen (web), and won Emmys and recognition from film festivals. But what really excites me is when a collection of images, put together with music and pacing, takes the viewer on an emotional journey, and hopefully provides a fraction of the enjoyment and inspiration that I feel while making it.
