Ladybug
An important call is the trigger for Vicente to face an unresolved issue. A very intimate story about parent-son relationship, described in an authentic, sweet, visually expressive style and with a touch of humor.

Francesco Cocco starts his film education at the Irish Film Academy in Dublin, then he attends the Metropolis c.e. film school and Estudio V film school, both based in Madrid. He writes, directs and produces his first short films in Ireland right before moving to Spain where he continues gathering experience as a film director and script writer. Since 2010 he’s been directing several short films and other audio visual formats such as web-series, video clips etc. His last short films “Purple”, “It rains” and “Ladybug” have been granted with awards and international selections in several festivals worldwide.
He’s now preparing his new short film “Water and Soup” that should be completed by December 2017.
He’s currently working at two feature films: "En obras" a film written by Victor Gado and "Viola”, a script written in English. He’s a teacher in a film school based in Madrid (Estudio V) where he provides acting for camera classes to both aspiring and experienced actors. He is also involved in several theatre projects.
I heard about ladybugs’ stories in my family only few years ago. At first I was skeptical about the weird interpretation my mother and other relatives did about sudden appearances of ladybugs during peculiar and/or tough moments of our life. I believe in coincidence so I didn’t pay too much attention to it. But when ladybugs appearances started happening to me, then my skepticism suffered a heavy attack and I had to start changing my mind about them. These are special creatures indeed and, whether they are here for a specific purpose or not, I felt I had to tell their story. They have touched me on a very intimate level. Since my experiences with ladybugs (yes, there are several), I completely changed my perception about them. I hope that, if you watch this film, your perception will change too.
