Director Biography - Purva Rakesh

Ms. Purva Rakesh is an English Honors graduate from St. Stephens college, University of Delhi with a masters in film making from the Mass Communication and Research Center in Jamia University in New Delhi and has a specialization in screenplay writing from the New York Film Academy.
She started her career with the launch of satellite television in India (Star TV) and went on to handle channel programming and program sales pioneering the production of programs out of India on an internationally distributed satellite platform like Start TV with programs like Oye BPL which was the first countdown program on music out of India on satellite network.
Starting her own company first in buying and selling sports events like World Cup Cricket, World Cup Soccer and tennis events like the French Open and Wimbledon, she now has a film production company Matinee Classic Productions Pvt. Ltd. which focuses on making films about real life achievements by ordinary people besides doing corporate films and other promotional videos.
