Director Biography - Rachel Kelly Vincent

Rachel is a graduate from Oakland University and has worked on over 40 short productions with the Oakland University Filmmakers Guild. In 2015 she created a Public Service Announcement for the It's On Us Campaign to inform students about sexual assault on campus. Creating Red Jacket Productions she plans to continue her work in filmmaking as a Director, Writer and Producer.

Director Statement

New Year, New Me is a short comedy following Rachel's journey with her new year's resolutions. Ready to start her healthy lifestyle, soon enough reality begins to set in. The idea came from not only personal experience but from those around me. It's a tradition for many who plan their resolutions but life decides to get in the way. I applaud those who stick to their new year goals.
For this project, I wanted to reflect on my own journey with fitness as it has been a roller coaster. Despite what this film displays, I enjoy working out and eating right. I only hope this film inspires those to get working on their own personal goals while giving them a good laugh.
