HONEST the Movie

Elisa Irini Vidalis aka Calmdown is a self taught singer who writes, composes and produces all of her music. Her passion is contagious and her jazzy voice and electronic melodies are captivating. Elisa lives and breathes music. She poetically explains how vital it is to her: “With music you feel a moment that you already lived in the past, or a moment you will live in the future or a moment you will never have at all. It travels with you and saves you.” Growing up in the magical and peaceful Greek island of Tinos, her passion for music started at the mere age of 8 where she studied piano at the local conservatory.

In her early twenties she got an itch to leave her small paradise island and follow her part german roots to discover the dark and effervescent Berlin. Ready to explore the fruitful music scene of the capital, she decided to continue her musical education at the Deutsche Pop Akademie in Berlin.However, quite soon she felt that music theory was confining her creativity and she decided to move on. Thus her musical journey began and her creativity has been restless ever since. She has already released five albums: “We will win, we will make it Darling” (2014), a blend of melancholic melodies and minimalist touches, combined with a particular “smoky-booming” voice, dark rhythms and Blues elements; “Poetry Post Music” (2015), a series of poems guided by melodies, and in 2017 she finalised “Cråwl to exit”, a therapeutic auto healing album trilogy.

In 2016 she decided to try and make her first Movie which is based on her previous HONEST EP.
