Director Statement

Before I found my passion for filmmaking, I wanted to either be in a punk rock band or to be a gangster.
This story is inspired by New York City and the Chinese philosophy of Taoism. I moved to NYC in 2016, I was more interested in places, which are dirty, junky, smelly and chaotic, rather than the Statue of Liberty or Times Square. I instinctively chose to write a story set in a junkyard when I first saw countless abandoned vehicles in salvage yards. Inspired by Taoism, the story is constructed to embody a life-philosophy of acceptance as each story line shares a similarity of depression.
