Director Statement

I made this film for a 48 Hour Film Project in Seattle Washington, with the initial idea that we'd be crafting a dark comedy. When we started the project our two genres we were given happened to be dark comedy, or biography. Through our writing process, and the guidance of one of my long time mentors, I was encouraged to try something out of my comfort zone, that being a biography. The film my writer and I crafted from this sudden genre shift was something that I felt was really raw and powerful, more so than any comedy we could have written. I'm very happy we decided to try something out of my comfort zone and I think my team and I made something truly unique.
