Graduating magna cum laude with a degree in comparative literature from the University of California in Irvine, Jordan now attends the UCLA School of Film, Television, and Theater on a fellowship for Screenwriting. His first feature screenplay, Name of the Father, was an official selection at the Oaxaca film festival and Hollywood Sky Film Festival, and was a finalist at the Los Angeles Lift Off Film Festival, and semi-finalist at the Austin Revolution Film Festival. His short script, Menschheitsdämmerung, was a finalist in the Table Read My Screenplay competition in Park City as well as the Shoot Your Short emergent screenwriters competition, and was a semi-finalist for both the Austin Revolution Film Festival and Seal Beach Film Festival, among others.
Academically, he has been awarded the Anne Finnegan Memorial Scholarship in Writing, and several of his critical papers have been honored with numerous conference selections. In July, his book of poetry, Record Winter, received a semi-finalist standing in the Kathryn Morton prize for poetry. He mentors the president of the Cal State Long Beach Chess Club in all things chess, and currently resides in Huntington Beach, California, where he works as an actor and writer.
