Artist Biography

Beasthead is a four-piece electronic indie rock band from Minneapolis, MN.

The band originally came together in an effort to create a sound that could speak to the unusually eclectic common ground they found in their shared artistic interests.

Their music fuses “a modern electronic pulse with textured guitars, hypnotic beats, and distorted vocals which comes together in a fresh sound that boldly stands apart from much of what is happening in the current Twin Cities music scene.”
– CITY PAGES, 03/27/14

In early 2017, Beasthead completed their Sophomore EP, “I Owe You For This”, with co-producer Ryan Olcott (12 Rods, c.Kostra, Pytch Records). Following a well-received record release in May, the band has been busy booking out the rest of their year as they continue to actively seek out new opportunities to share their unique music.

Artist Statement

We are always seeking to create sounds and textures that create a cyclically fleeting sense of familiarity, making our songs both contagious, yet hard to categorize.

Our recently released EP, "I Owe You For This", achieves this goal, serving as a moody exploration of what happens to relationships, with others and with ourselves, when you cant remember the last time you saw the sun or said "no".

The music video we created for the single "Sticker On Your Brain (feat. Fort Wilson Riot)" is meant to serve as a visual extension of this exploration, utilizing dodgey pacing and unclear motives to reflect the isolationism and anxiousness that we sought to address in the album.
