Moonage Daydream #27

“Art is a marriage of the conscious and the unconscious. One of the characteristics of the dream is that nothing surprises us in it.”- Jean Cocteau « The Infernal Machine »
"Moonage Daydream #27" is a psychedelic and aesthetic reverie - the mind wanders to the soundscape, reminiscences and apparitions.
A cosmic dream / astral projection, floating in weightlessness in the midst of organic shapes with moving and dynamic colors.

“Keep your electric eye on me
Put your ray gun to my head
Press your space face close to mine
Freak out in a moonage daydream”
David Bowie (Moonage Daydream)

Lives and works in Paris.
After majoring in social sciences in the area of the psychedelic culture (graduate work: the psychedelic movement and its infuence on contemporary culture) he undertook a long musical journey as composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist.
While undergoing training as sound engineer in 2013, Pierre Ajavon moved toward Video Art to broaden his own field of artistic expression.
He produced many experimental short films which he filmed, edited, and provided with a musical production.
With a view to « film sound » and convert sound into pictures, he aimed to connect his musical mind with a visual aesthetics to create a kaleidoscope of sensations manifesting in psychedelic flashes and reconstructed shots fully carried by the music, the sound and the rhythm.
In a synesthesical approach, pictures, colors and sound showed what the aesthetic perception could create.
“Creating sound scenery connected to filmed aesthetics is the cornerstone of my artistic research »
