Light in the Darkness
Pouring over old photographs, Bishop Klaus Dick shares the personal intimate details of his life story, and how God has been a steadfast source of light in his life. He begins his story by describing when he was drafted at fourteen years old and forced to fight for Germany in World War Two. He recounts the ruin and destruction the war caused. Bishop Dick discusses how it is this turmoil that leads him to following his vocation and becoming a priest. He explains how this brought a great and positive change in his life, and how rewarding and invigorating it is to live life not for you, but for God.

Amanda Haas is an alumni of Loyola Marymount University's school of film and Television. Amanda was inspired to pursue film after visiting the Universal Studio Tour and seeing where her favorite movie, Back to the Future, was produced. Her passion is writing and development for sci-fi and comedy.
Religion has played an important part in my life, and I knew when I was accepted into Loyola Marymount's Documentary program in Bonn Germany, that I wanted to make a film about a personal experience of how religion fit into Germany's history. I was absolutely floored by the stories of Bishop Klaus Dick, and I knew his story was one I needed to share with the world.
