White eyed vireo raising a chick of their own along with a cowbird chick. Cowbirds are thought to have evolved parasitic nesting tactics because they followed migrating buffalo herds, and couldn't stay in one place very long. Sometimes vireo push the cowbird eggs or chicks from the nest and sometimes they raise the cowbird. Everybody's got to eat.
